The London of Austin Powers?

This is the last of my 1974 posts.  My trip that year began and ended in London.  It may not have quite been the same London that Austin Powers remembered but it was just as exciting to me.  My family is Anglo-Welsh-Irish all ’round and I was tremendously excited about seeing the things I had only heard of or seen on tv.  The things that I still remember today were both simple and extravagant.  Bobbies on horses, businessmen in bowler hats, the changing of the guards, the poet’s burial sites in Westminister Abbey, taking the Tube, a show in the west end.
