Dancing WithThe Corfiots

Dancing WithThe Corfiots

Still in 1974, we stopped on the Greek island of Corfu. We were bussed to a small village with a beautiful beach with the plan of spending the afternoon swimming. By lucky happenstance, there was a festival and we were treated instead to an hour of traditional Greek dancing. And we still managed to get our swim in!

    • Thank you! I would imagine that they are performed somewhere. Maybe not as often or in the same kind of venue. I would guess there are classes in traditional Greek dances in North American or UK neighbourhoods where there are a lot of Greek expats.

  1. I remember happening on an outdoor wedding one night, in a small town in southern Turkey. It was magic watching the celebrations, particularly the dancers!
